Because many of us have left PC gaming behind in favor of the straight forward nature of consoles. I wouldn't want to be dealing with Steam anyway. I just prefer to game on consoles, like most people do nowadays.

Infamous is a good game, but it definitely doesn't have good graphics. Assassin's Creed looks better by far.

GiantEnemyCrab is fairly neutral. He just isn't completely biased in favor of the PS3. He isn't pro-PS3/anti-360 enough for most of the PS3 fanboys around here, so they don't like him.

Yep, and companies on all sides have been the victim of it.

Some game publishers have reported earning more revenue on the PS3 at PARTICULAR POINTS IN TIME, but they do not consistently earn more revenue on the PS3. This is a very common misunderstanding around these parts.

The 360 has been shown to provide the most consistent 3rd party revenue over time.

If this was leaked by the same GiantEnemyCrab from N4G (which I am sure it is) then I have no doubt this is legit.

Sounds great. I appreciate the fact Sony are continuing to improve their console's features and online functionality.

Ok way to dodge reality! Believe in your own fanboy delusions and completely ignore what an actual developer is telling you.

The PS3 does have less available RAM. This is a fact. Every developer knows it is a fact. Sony made a poor decision on their memory architecture. The unified memory architecture of the 360 is much better. Not to mention the OS footprint is much smaller on the 360.

No it hasn't been proven. Only those that have bought into Sony's marketing believe that. Those that know anything know that it is mostly a bunch of hype and marketing BS. The PS2 was also supposedly the most powerful console according to Sony's claims, but it was clearly and unarguably surpassed by both the Gamecube and the Xbox.

Think about this, no game on the PS3 has unarguably surpassed what is available on the 360. On the other hand, the vast majority of games that are ...

More like PS3 and Xbox 360 are fairly equal, but it is much easier to get good performance out of the 360 than the PS3. You will see more games looking good on the 360 than the PS3 for this reason. The PS3 will have a few exceptional looking titles, as will the 360.

In real world terms, and speaking generally, it actually goes a little more like this:
Xbox 360 > PS3> ...Wii

There is a sizable gap in graphical fidelity between the PS3 and 360 versions. The 360 verions runs at a higher resolution, higher quality textures, less screen tearing, is sharper, has higher quality anti-aliasing (quincunx sucks) and has less glitches according sources that have compared both versions.

PS3:
Stick your head in the sand, instead of recognizing that their comparisons are often done live so that everyone can see what they are talking about, or recognizing that most of their findings have been in line with what other groups have found, or recognizing that anybody can get their hands on both copies of a multi-platform game, as I often do, and see for themselves that...

No, you got the argument all wrong. The argument is that graphics are not the most important aspect of a game. PS3 fanboys are always harping on about graphics as if they automatically make a game good. If you don't find a game fun, it doesn't really matter how good the graphics are, you still aren't going to like it.

However, if you already decide that you like a game, who wouldn't want it to look as good as possible? Graphics are important, but they will always be secondary...

You might be that unperceptive Mastiffchild, but the differences on many multi-platform games are very noticeable to me.

You people who like to poo-poo these multi-platform comparisons always like to pretend that it is just people being overly critical and "counting pixels". But that is just a load of BS and everybody knows it. The differences we see in multi-platform games are often substantial.

When one game has an unstable framerate, fuzzy image qual...

Damn, Darkride, you must have some really low standards. Game makers could pretty much throw anything at you and as long as it was on the PS3 you would be fine with it.

Orange Box, the games themselves are second to none, but on PS3 it was a disappointment all around. Half-Life 2: Episode one and Episode two were particularly bad. The amount of slowdown was horrendous. The games are so good that I can understand you still having a good time with most of it, but if you thought...

@ Gambare

So, are you claiming that Ars Technica, Lens of Truth and IGN are all in on a big conspiracy to make Ghostbusters on PS3 look bad? Ghostbusters? Seriously?

See, that is why I can't take most of you PS3 fanboys seriously. Most of you are so blinded by your own fanboyism that you can't see the truth when it smacks you in the forehead.

6075d ago 12 agree4 disagreeView comment

You PS3 fans are really a joke. You can't ever own up to the truth, even when it is staring you in the face. Look, it wasn't just Lens of Truth that showed this. IGN and Ars Technica came to the same conclusion: the PS3 version is blatantly inferior.

"The big issue was in the texture quality, and let me tell you it was a huge difference! The texture quality for the PlayStation 3 left us shaking our heads in disbelief," the site explained. "This went beyond th...

The same thing happened with Bioshock. The developers tried to downplay all the issues with the PS3 version, but it was actually all a load of BS. When I played the PS3 version I was shocked by how poorly it compared to the 360 version.

I think it is obvious that they don't want it affecting sales, so they claim that the two versions are equal, when in fact the 360 version is blatantly better.

You're right though, the PS3 is not nearly as powerful as Sony has tried...

What's even stupider is the morons on this site that somehow think that comparing exclusives would ever tell you anything about which console is more powerful. Especially when the exclusives in question all look about the same and nobody can even agree about which ones look better.

Multiplats prove a lot more than you realize. Multiplats provide a baseline from which to compare. If over and over we see the same kinds of problems on PS3 versions of multiplats you would have to ...

You're such a fraud, HDgamer. Liars like you are what led me to buy Bioshock on the PS3 and no, it isn't even close to being the same. I have compared both retail copies after the patch and the 360 version handily outclasses the PS3 version.

Liars like you are probably going to mislead a whole bunch of other misinformed multi-console owners into buying the inferior PS3 version of Ghostbusters.
As an owner of a PS3 and a 360 I have every right and interest to buy the bette...
